Paws and Play - A Situational Simulation

Paws and Play is a situational simulation developed in Muzzy lane to leach volunteers to identify both low and high level canine body language signals through a series of images and video scenarios. Created as part of a training initiative for one of my local animal shelters, this simulation was designed to work in tandem with existing in-person instruction to provide additional opportunities for applied practice.

Volunteers move through realistic scenarios, make observations about dog body language, and receive immediate feedback on their choices. By pairing visual examples with guided decision-making, the simulation reinforces key concepts from the in-person sessions and supports skill development in a structured, self paced format.

Math Dash - OctoStudio

Math Dash is a fast-paced, two-player educational game developed in OctoStudio. Inspired by classroom math races, the game was designed to aid early elementary learners in building fluency in solving basic math problems through structured, competitive play. Players race to correctly answer problems, reinforcing accuracy while encouraging quicker recall.

This game showcases an interactive learning experience that combines skill practice with game mechanics. By blending repetition with friendly competition, Math Dash promotes focus and sustained engagement while supporting the development of math fluency in a format that feels fresh and engaging than remedial.

Recall Readiness Training Program - Report and Learning Materials

Recall Readiness Training Program supports Guide Dogs for the Blind (GDB) puppy raisers in accurately assessing when a puppy is ready for formal training. Based on a needs assessment, the training addresses gaps in understanding updated recall readiness criteria, particularly for returning volunteers.

The solution combines self-paced online modules, scenario-based exercises, video demonstrations, checklists, and optional Q&A sessions. Volunteers practice evaluating realistic puppy behaviors, apply defined criteria, and receive guided feedback, demonstrating how structured, practical training can address a clear performance gap.
